Feedback Exchange

How it works

Feedback Exchange is an exchange: everyone contributes real effort and everyone benefits. There's one core commitment — review your fellow members' products — and everything else flows from it.

1. The review commitment

When you join, you commit to reviewing every existing member’s product within your first 60 days (capped at a reasonable number as the group grows). Every existing member commits to reviewing your product in the same window. Each review delivers two things:

  • Private, actionable feedback — usability, onboarding, copy, branding, and messaging notes sent directly to the founder.
  • Public social proof — if you genuinely like the product, a short testimonial published on the member’s profile page here.

You’ll get weekly email reminders of your open reviews until they’re done. New product or major redesign? It goes back in the review queue.

2. Launch amplification

Launching on Product Hunt, Hacker News, or anywhere else? The whole group gets an email the moment you go live. Genuine early upvotes, comments, and shares in the first hours are the highest-leverage support a founder community can give — and your launch gets the same treatment.

3. The weekly content pool

  1. Every week, a rotating handful of members are selected as hosts.
  2. Each host receives a ready-to-publish blog post — a genuine “tools I’m using” style roundup featuring three or four other members’ products, never their own.
  3. Hosts publish it on their own blog within 7 days, editing it into their own voice as much as they like.
  4. Every member featured gets an organic mention in front of a new audience; every host gets fresh, relevant content. Links carry a shared UTM tag so you can see the referral traffic in your own analytics.

Assignments are generated so that nobody features themselves and no two members feature each other in the same round. Publishing your assigned post is a hard requirement — miss two rounds and your participation is paused.

4. Monthly site audits

Every month we run Google Lighthouse against your homepage and email you the four scores, how they moved since last month, and the handful of fixes actually worth your time.

5. The directory

This site links to every member’s product with structured data that search engines and AI assistants can read, and members are encouraged to link back to their profile page.

What it costs

Nothing, for founding members — permanently. If the group grows beyond the founding cohort we may charge new members to cover the cost of running it. That will never apply retroactively to anyone who joined before it.
