Terms of Service

1. What this is

Feedback Exchange is a membership network for independent software founders. Members review each other’s products, write testimonials, support each other’s launches, and take part in a shared blog content pool. By using startupfeedbackexchange.com you agree to these terms.

2. Membership

Membership is by application and at our discretion. We may decline an application without giving a reason. You must be at least 16 and have a live product to apply.

3. Your commitments

As a member you agree to:

• Review every other member’s product within 60 days of joining, subject to the cap in effect, and review each new member’s product in the same window.
• Give feedback that is honest, specific, and offered in good faith.
• Publish your assigned content-pool post within 7 days when you are selected as a host, keeping every featured product mentioned and linked.
• Only write a testimonial for a product you have genuinely used and genuinely recommend.
• Give real support to member launches — never fake accounts, vote manipulation, or anything that violates the rules of the platform you’re supporting on.

Missing two content-pool rounds pauses your participation. Serious or repeated breaches end your membership.

4. Content you provide

You keep ownership of everything you write. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to publish your product listing and any testimonial you approve on the public directory, and to include your product in generated content-pool posts. You confirm you have the right to grant that licence.

Content-pool posts are drafted with AI assistance and sent to you to edit and publish under your own name on your own blog. You are responsible for what you publish — read it, edit it, and make it true.

5. Feedback is not advice

Reviews are the personal opinions of individual members. They are not professional, legal, financial, or technical advice, and we do not endorse or verify them. What you do with feedback is your call.

6. Cost

Membership is currently free. If we introduce paid membership in future, anyone who joined before that change keeps their membership free permanently. We will give at least 30 days’ notice before any pricing takes effect, and paid membership will never be a condition of appearing in the directory for existing members.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit a product you don’t own or operate.
• Write false, paid-for, or reciprocal-by-arrangement testimonials.
• Use member contact details for unsolicited marketing, or share them outside the network.
• Scrape, resell, or republish the directory.
• Attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the site.

8. Ending membership

You can leave at any time by emailing us; we’ll remove your listing straight away. We may suspend or end a membership that breaches these terms, and will explain why where we reasonably can.

9. No warranty and limits

The site is provided “as is”. We don’t guarantee any particular outcome — traffic, rankings, backlinks, sign-ups, or revenue — from taking part. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the previous 12 months, which for free members is zero.

10. Changes

We’ll email members before any material change to these terms takes effect.
